Our Story
For millennia, people in the Mediterranean have treasured olive oil, often referred to as „green gold,“ for its culinary and medicinal benefits. In ancient times, it was not only a food staple but also used in rituals, for anointing, and in the consecration of altars. Over time, its versatility extended to cosmetics and soaps, and it remains a dietary essential.
As children, our father would proudly show us our grandfather’s olive trees, teaching us the laborious process of transforming olives into oil. This instilled in us a deep appreciation for the product. Each time we visited Greece, our family would receive three 15-liter canisters of olive oil, a gift that lasted until our next holiday. The quality and taste were unmatched, leaving us to wonder why such delicious olive oil wasn’t available in supermarkets.
Inspired by this connection to our heritage, we founded „LADERO Greek Olive Oil“ to share this exceptional product with others. But what began with olive oil was just the beginning of a larger vision. Our deep appreciation for quality, tradition, and cultural exchange led us to expand beyond olive oil, bringing a wide range of Greek delicacies and other products to Japan.
